In an official press release, the Chennai Meteorological Department has reported the presence of atmospheric downward circulation over Sri Lanka and the South Bay of Bengal. This weather pattern is expected to bring moderate rain to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry from today, November 3rd, until the 7th.
Today, residents in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Madurai, Virudhunagar, Thenkasi, Thoothukudi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari districts should be prepared for heavy rainfall at isolated locations. The heavy rain is likely to continue across most districts tomorrow.
On the 5th, heavy rain is anticipated in Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Erode, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, and Tirupattur districts, while on the 6th, Nilgiris, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Theni, Dindigul, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Thenkasi, Tirunelveli, Kanyakumari, and Tuticorin districts are also expected to experience heavy rain at one or two locations.
