Currently, an atmospheric downward circulation prevails over the South Bay of Bengal. This weather pattern is expected to bring light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning to Tamil Nadu and Puducherry for the next two days, specifically on November 2 and 3.
On November 3, heavy rainfall is anticipated in several districts, including Kanyakumari, Tirunelveli, Thenkasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Theni, Dindigul, Coimbatore, Nilgiris, Erode, Salem, Darumapuri, and Tirupur.
For today, Chennai and its suburbs can expect partly cloudy skies. Some areas within the city may experience moderate rainfall along with thunder and lightning.
