No Madden Julian Oscillation etc now, just the light rain before the onset of NE monsoon in Chennai

The NE monsoon would set towards the October month end. Now, the weathermen have predicted that Chennai would receive just light rains. The interior districts in TN might get wind convergence based rainfall due to the transition from SW monsoon to NE monsoon.
It was brought to light by the famous Chennai weather blogger Mr. Pradeep John that there were no weather systems or atmospheric phenomenon like Madden Julian Oscillations etc now to bring rainfall. He hinted that a weather system might bring rains in the last week of October
In the next 48 hours, Chennai would receive light rains with thunderstorms and lightning in some places. The skies above would be partly cloudy.
According to Mr. N. Senthamarai Kannan, director, IMD, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in the north TN in the next 2 to 3 days. He added that on 7th and 8th October the probability of rains would drop to 50percent.
