Effect of the continuous heavy rains throughout the early morning in Chennai!!

It is known that the existing depression has strengthened into cyclone Maandus now and the cyclonic storm is now at a distance of 480km from Chennai. This storm is moving at a speed of 12kmph towards Tamil Nadu state.
The Met Dept of Chennai has announced about the possibility of heavy rains in 4 districts like Chennai, Tiruvallur, Kancheepuram and Chengalpet etc in the next 3 hours.
The continuous heavy rains now have led to water stagnation problems in several places in the city. The heavy water stagnation in the busy Avvai Shanmugam Road in Royapettah has been creating issues for the motorists now.
