There would be moderate rains till 27th November in the state of Tamil Nadu, and in the neighbouring Puducherry and Karaikal etc. According to Mr. Senthamarai Kannan, director, Chennai zonal meteorological centre the deep depression that has prevailed over south AP and north east coastal areas over central west and adjoining SW Bay of Bengal has weakened.
It has been present over south Andhra Pradesh and adjoining places since yesterday morning. As a result, light to moderate rains might occur from 24th to 27th November in a few places in TN, Puducherry and Karaikal.
Chennai would have cloudy skies and there would be moderate rains in one or two places in the city.
It must be noted that in the last 24 hours that ended at 8:30am yesterday Sholavaram and Tamaraipakkam belonging to Thiruvallur district recorded 3cm of rain each. This was mentioned in the release from Mr. Senthamarai Kannan, the director of Chennai meteorological centre.
