The Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has informed us that there are prospects for rain in the next 4 days in the State of Tamil Nadu due to the cyclone format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
In a notification released by the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre in this regard, it is mentioned:
Due to the cyclonic format prevailing in the upper layers of the atmosphere, there are prospects for rains today (Thursday, 9th June) with lightning and thunder in a few places in Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Karaikkal.
As regards the 10th, 11th, & 12th June, there are prospects for mild to medium rain in a few places in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
As regards Chennai Metro City, the sky will remain somewhat cloudy in the next 24 hours. There are prospects for mild to medium rain in a few parts of the city. The maximum temperature will be 39 Degrees Celsius.
Up to 12th June, there are prospects for high-speed winds at 40-50 kmph to blow across the central-east Arabian Sea, the coastal areas of Karnataka and Kerala States, and Lakhdivs. As such, the Chennai Regional Meteorological Centre has warned the fishermen not to venture into the sea in these areas!
