Prospects of heavy rains in 3 Tamil Nadu Districts

The Director of the Chennai Meteorological Centre, S. Balachandran, informed that there are prospects of mild to heavy rain in the next 24 hours in Tamil Nadu as a low-pressure formation is prevalent over the Bay of Bengal.
He further informed that there is a depression formed over the northwest part of the Bay of Bengal. There is also a cyclonic format developed in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
So, there are prospects of heavy rain in the next 24 hours in a few places in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, and Theni.
As a thermal convection phenomenon also prevails, there are prospects of mild to medium rain in the other parts of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry.
There are prospects of rain in the evening or the night sessions in the Chennai Metro City.
The fishermen are warned not to venture into these in the areas of the North Bay of Bengal, Central Bay of Bengal, and Andaman.
