Intensity of heat will become less in a day or two - Rains expected

The Meteorological Centre has mentioned that the intensity of heat will become less in a day or two in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. Even after the Kathri season the intensity of the heat is more. As per the latest news, 100 degrees was recorded on 10 places. An official of Chennai Meteorological Centre has mentioned: The impact of heat will become less if the South West Monsoon commences in Kerala. It is expected that this monsoon will commence during the first week of June. Hence the impact of heat will become less in Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu districts situated near Kerala border will experience good rains.
Apart from this rain or thundershower is likely to occur at a few places over North Tamil Nadu (Chennai, Kancheepuram, Tiruvallur, Cuddalore, Villupuram, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam, Pudukottai,Vellore, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Salem, Namakkal, Nilgiris, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Erode, Karur, Tiruchirapalli, Ariyalur, Perambalur districts) and Puducherry and at one or two places over South Tamil Nadu today.
As far as Chennai is concerned the sky condition likely to be partly cloudy. Rain or thundershowers is likely to occur in some areas during evening or night. Maximum and Minimum temperature are likely to be around 37ºC and 28ºC respectively.
