Chennai Rains update (Tamil Nadu Weatherman)

The 3rd active spell of the monsoon in Western Ghats starts, Veppa Salanam (Convective) rains to reduce in Tamil Nadu while rains in Cauvery basin in Kodagu and Wayanad to increase

As i said earlier, we need 5-6 active spells of monsoon between June-September. This is the 3rd active spell looks like it will last more than a week. So all eyes will be tuned to West Coast / Ghats.
Tamil Nadu

Heavy Rains - From Today till next 10 days - Coimbatore (Valparai), Nilgiris (Avalanche-Upper Bhavani-Mukurthy belt) will get heavy rains.
Moderate Heavy Rains - Theni (Periyar region), Kanyakumari (Pechiparai regions) and Nellai (Manjolai-Papansam-Gundar-regions) will get some moderate heavy rains.
Pollachi - Sathyamangalam and nearby areas in Western ghats belt will get moderate rains.
Other areas mostly will be mostly dry and it will be windy again.
Cauvery Basin in Kerala / Karnataka - Heavy rains likely in next 10 more days.

Kodagu (Cauvery catchment of KRS), Wayanad (Cauvery catchment of Kabini) and Chikmagaluru (Cauvery catchment of Hemavathy Dam) will get very heavy rains. Harangi Dam will overflow by next week.
Kabini inflows to jump - Today Wayanad was smashed with Thariode recording 160 mm and Vythri 110 mm.
KRS inflows to jump too - Bhagamandala has recorded 150 mm rainfall. I feel KRS will become close to full or even overflow at the end of this Spell, so semma Good news to the farmers.
Very heavy rains in Central India

Apart from Ghats, the areas of Vidarbha, Odisha, Madhya pradesh and Chattisgarh where the monsoon low is expected to moves in will see Very heavy rains. Some places are going to get close to 1000 mm in the next 10 days in these places (Which is almost equivalent to their annual rains)
Mumbai Rains

Mumbai Rains - Rains will be there but nothing extreme as most of the extreme rains happens in the Ghats.
Bangalore Rains

Cloudy weather with showers at times. Its typical weather Bangalore will see when monsoon gets active. Forget thunderstorms in Bangalore.
Chennai Rains and TN Thunderstorms will be very less or nil for next 10 days (approx) but will be windy in the coming days.

Chennai Rains and TN Thunderstorms - Next 10 days no one should ask about Chennai rains or Thunderstorms in the interiors as u can see it will windy again and seeing this pattern you all know very rarely convergence happens near coast or in the interiors. So please when i post about Dam and rains updates in west coast / ghats. Dont ask Chennai rains eppo.
