The Chennai Meteorological Department has reported that Manali Pudunagar recorded the highest rainfall of 238 mm in Chennai over the last 24 hours.
The deep depression near Chennai in the Bay of Bengal has taken a ‘U-turn’ and moved toward Puducherry, leading to expectations of moderate rain in the northern districts today and tomorrow.
Tamil Nadu and Puducherry are likely to experience moderate rain with thunder and lightning over the next two days. Moderate rain is expected to continue in the state until December 9, while heavy rain is forecast today in Krishnagiri, Dharmapuri, Tuticorin, Ramanathapuram, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
