On the memorial day of Bharathidasan (1891-1964), we honour his remarkable contribution to Tamil literature and social equality.
Known as “Puratchi Kavignar”, he was a poet, teacher, and reformist who used his writings to promote self-respect, anti-caste ideology, and rational thinking. Inspired by Subramania Bharati, he dedicated his life to uplifting Tamil language and society.
His legacy lives on through his powerful poems and progressive ideas, continuing to inspire generations.
