Tamil Nadu CM Vijay to Meet PM Modi in Delhi Today

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay is travelling to Delhi today for the first time after the formation of the TVK-led government in the state. The visit has created huge political expectations as Vijay is scheduled to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and several national leaders.

During the meeting with PM Modi, CM Vijay is expected to discuss important issues related to Tamil Nadu, including central fund allocation, approval for development projects, and the Mekedatu dam issue. Officials from the Tamil Nadu government are already in Delhi to coordinate the meetings and discussions.

Apart from meeting the Prime Minister, Vijay is also likely to meet Congress leaders Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Mallikarjun Kharge, along with leaders from alliance parties including Left party representatives.

The Chief Minister is also expected to participate in the Thiruvalluvar statue inauguration event at Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) in Delhi.

Meanwhile, CM Vijay has instructed officials to take immediate legal steps to protect the 69% reservation policy in Tamil Nadu ahead of the Supreme Court hearing related to reservation in education and government jobs.

Vijay’s first official Delhi visit as Chief Minister is being closely watched by political parties and the public across Tamil Nadu.
