Namakkal Egg Price Drops by 30 Paise to ₹5.70 Per Egg

The farm-gate price of eggs in the Namakkal region has been reduced by 30 paise, bringing the price down to ₹5.70 per egg.

The decision was taken during the National Egg Coordination Committee (NECC) meeting held in Namakkal on Friday, where poultry farmers discussed the current market conditions and reviewed egg pricing.

According to industry representatives, the increase in egg production, reduced consumer demand during the festival season, and recent price revisions in other regions led to the decision to lower egg prices in Namakkal as well.

Following the discussions, the NECC officially announced a 30-paise reduction in the farm-gate price, fixing it at ₹5.70 per egg.

At the NECC meeting held in Palladam, the price of broiler chicken was fixed at ₹102 per kg, while the price of layer chicken was also set at ₹102 per kg.
