Heavy Rain Likely in Nilgiris and Coimbatore Hill Areas; Thunderstorms Forecast Across Several Tamil Nadu Districts

The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC), Chennai, has forecast very heavy rainfall at isolated places in the hill areas of Nilgiris and Coimbatore districts.
According to the weather department, heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds is also likely at isolated locations in the hill regions of Tenkasi and Tirunelveli districts, as well as in Theni, Dindigul, Tiruppur, and Kanniyakumari districts.
Residents living in hilly and low-lying areas have been advised to remain cautious and follow weather updates issued by the authorities. The rainfall activity is expected due to prevailing atmospheric conditions over Tamil Nadu and adjoining regions.
