Tamil Nadu continues to experience dry weather conditions with rising temperatures across several districts. Erode, Karur, and Salem recorded a scorching 104°F, while Vellore, Tiruchirappalli, Coimbatore, Dharmapuri, and Madurai saw temperatures touching 102°F, which is 2–4°C above normal levels.

According to the Chennai Meteorological Centre, a low-pressure trough extending from Marathwada to the Gulf of Mannar across interior Karnataka, Rayalaseema, and Tamil Nadu is influencing the current weather pattern.

Due to this system, light rainfall is expected in isolated places over the Western Ghats, delta districts, coastal regions, and Ramanathapuram district. These conditions are likely to continue until April 23.

Meanwhile, temperatures across interior Tamil Nadu are expected to rise gradually, increasing discomfort levels among residents. Chennai is likely to experience near-normal temperatures, but humidity may cause heat discomfort in some areas.
