Chennai Property Tax: 5% Discount for Payments Made Before April 30
The Greater Chennai Corporation has announced a 5% discount on property tax for residents who pay their dues on or before April 30, 2026.
With the beginning of the 2026–27 financial year, property owners in Chennai are required to pay their first half-year tax within 30 days. To encourage early payment, the corporation is offering this limited-time rebate.

Property owners who pay within the deadline can enjoy:

- Savings of up to ₹5,000
- Avoidance of 1% penalty for delayed payment

Important Deadline
Residents are advised to complete their payments before April 30, as only a limited time remains to avail the discount. Late payments may result in additional charges.
