If it is the month of May, then heat and humidity would be at their peak making their lives very difficult!!

It is true that the children during hot summer seasons would get sick even if there is any slight change in their eating habits. Kids could easily get affected by vomiting and diarrhoea etc during the summers. The kids would get dehydrated easily and this could lead to loss of fluids from their bodies through diarrhoea and vomiting etc. There are few things that parents must follow to control vomiting and diarrhoea in their kids.

These are

Feed less milk products:

Parents must give their kids less milk based products if their kids get vomiting and diarrhoea etc. Curd or milk must not be consumed on an empty stomach. Point is that those children who digest milk less would face more troubles.

Feed light foods:

It is important to feed kids with light food if the kid has an upset stomach. Excess food must be totally avoided by the parents. It is better to feed kids with home- made foods and avoid outside foods. For the kid`s digestion to be good, it is necessary to feed only a little food at a time.

Keep giving water:

Issues like diarrhoea and vomiting would cause the kids to lose lots of fluids from them, In this scenario, parents must provide their kids with water or other fluids to compensate for the fluid loss. It is necessary to give ORS solutions for the kids to protect them from dehydration.

Provide fruits like bananas:

Ripe bananas would be superb for vomiting and parents must give this fruit to their kids when they vomit. Bananas would settle or calm down the kids stomach and would provide them with instant energy also.  Parents must not feed mangoes when their kids vomit or when they have diarrhoea etc.

Include these important foods:

It is worthy to note that parents must feed their kids with foods like rice, moong dal, kichadi, oatmeal, bread etc if their kids vomit or suffer from diarrhoea. Feeding curd would be superb for the kid`s health as it would help in maintaining a balance between good and bad bacteria in the stomach.

Avoid giving ice creams etc:

When the children are exposed to sunlight and sweat, then parents must avoid giving their kids ice-creams.
