IRCTC Launches 11-Day Bharat Gaurav Spiritual Train Tour: Visit Kashi, Puri, Konark, Gangasagar & More

The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced an 11-day Bharat Gaurav Spiritual Train Tour, giving devotees an opportunity to visit some of India`s most sacred temples and pilgrimage destinations in a single journey. The specially curated tour covers famous religious and cultural sites across eastern India, making it an ideal option for pilgrims seeking a comfortable and well-organized spiritual experience.

The tour will depart from Safdarjung Railway Station in Delhi on September 25 and return to Delhi on October 5. During the journey, passengers will visit renowned destinations including Varanasi, Puri, Bhubaneswar, Konark, Chilika Lake, Kolkata, Gangasagar, and Baidyanath Dham in Deoghar.

Complete Tour Itinerary

Day 1 – September 25

The Bharat Gaurav Tourist Train will depart from Safdarjung Railway Station, Delhi, at 6:30 PM, marking the beginning of the 11-day spiritual journey.

Day 2 – Varanasi

Pilgrims will visit the sacred Kashi Vishwanath Temple, Sankat Mochan Temple, Surya Hanuman Temple, and witness the spectacular Ganga Aarti on the banks of the River Ganga.

Day 3 – Puri

The tour continues to Puri, where travellers can seek blessings at the famous Jagannath Temple and explore Puri Beach and nearby attractions.

Day 4 – Chilika Lake & Konark

Visitors will enjoy a boat ride on Chilika Lake, Asia`s largest brackish water lagoon, followed by a visit to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Konark Sun Temple and surrounding coastal attractions.

Day 5 – Bhubaneswar

The itinerary includes visits to the historic Lingaraj Temple, Udayagiri and Khandagiri Caves, along with several other ancient temples that make Bhubaneswar known as the "Temple City of India."

Day 6 – Kolkata

Passengers will explore some of Kolkata`s iconic landmarks, including the Victoria Memorial, Hooghly River, and other major tourist attractions.

Day 7 – Gangasagar

The spiritual journey continues with a visit to Gangasagar, one of India`s most revered pilgrimage sites where the River Ganga meets the Bay of Bengal.

Day 8 – Deoghar

Devotees will visit the famous Baidyanath Dham (Jyotirlinga) in Deoghar, one of the twelve sacred Jyotirlingas dedicated to Lord Shiva.

After completing the pilgrimage, the train will begin its return journey and arrive back in Delhi on October 5.
