HR&CE Extends Deadline for Non-Hereditary Trustee Applications to August 28

The Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE) Department has extended the deadline for applications for the appointment of non-hereditary trustees to 220 temples under its control. Eligible applicants can now submit their applications until August 28, 2026, at 5.45 pm.

The department had initially invited applications from eligible individuals on June 14 under Section 46(iii), with July 22 set as the original deadline. The deadline was subsequently extended to August 12.

Following requests from devotees seeking additional time to apply, the HR&CE Department has further extended the application window to August 28.

How to Apply for Non-Hereditary Trustee Posts

Interested and eligible applicants can submit the prescribed application forms through any of the following modes:

- Online submission

- In-person submission

- Postal submission

Applications must be submitted to the office of the concerned Regional Joint Commissioner.

Eligible devotees and interested applicants are advised to complete the application process before the revised deadline.
