IKEA Launches Online Home Deliveries Across Tamil Nadu
IKEA India, a subsidiary of Inter IKEA Group and Ingka Group, has announced the rollout of online deliveries across Tamil Nadu starting January 22.
The Sweden-based home furnishings retailer will deliver products to Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, and Salem, with shipments routed from its Bengaluru facility.
IKEA said it has over 25,000 IKEA Family members in Tamil Nadu and aims to offer end-to-end home solutions in Chennai within 3–7 days, along with 5–25 year warranties and a 365-day return policy. Deliveries will be made using electric vehicles to support sustainability.
Speaking in Chennai, Patrik Antoni, CEO of IKEA India, said around 30% of IKEA’s products are sourced from India, with 44 suppliers, including manufacturing of mattresses in Tamil Nadu for domestic and regional markets. He added that India exports IKEA products worth €400 million globally.
Bhavana Jaiswal, Country E-commerce Integration Manager, said online sales now contribute over 30% of IKEA India’s revenue, and the Tamil Nadu launch marks a key step in its long-term omnichannel expansion in the State.
