Road issue in this very busy locality in Chennai is making many residents feel unhappy!!

RamaKrishna Mutt Road in Mylapore is now making news for the wrong reasons!!
While relaying the RK Mutt Road in Mylapore, the GCC or Greater Chennai Corporation has increased the road height in several stretches. Now, the height of the road is on par with the pavements.
It was then pointed out by a resident from Mylapore that the height of the road has increased after relaying work. He was unhappy and mentioned that the GCC did not bother about the effect of the increased height of the roads in the next 15 years .
The GCC officials could not keep an eye on the quality of milling despite inspecting the roads at midnight. The RK Mutt road had no camber for the flow of water and therefore the GCC had to create a camber. Truth is that milling has its own limitations and height was increased to adjust to camber. This was as per an officer from GCC. He concluded that in the future the road height would not be increased .
Now, there is some fear that the increased road height might lead to water flowing and affecting the shops nearby. The activists were of the view that only this year GCC was concentrating on the camber correction.
