Tamil film fans would always remember the mellifluous voice of late popular playback singer Mr. TM. Soundararajan or TMS!!
It is superb to note that he has got a tremendous fan following even now and many people listen to his old Tamil songs. The songs sung by TMS for the famous Tamil actors like Sivaji Ganesan and MGR were mindblowing. It is known that TMS lived in Mandavelipakkam in South Chennai.
Today 24th March is TMS 100TH birthday and on this superb occasion the street where he lived West Circular Road has been renamed as TM.Soundararajan Road now.
The municipal administration secretary has issued a press release and according to the release to honour Mr. Parthiban (who served as Lieutenant in the Indian Army and sacrificed his life in the fight with the terrorists)the Meleratha Street ( belonging to Chintamani area of Puliangudi Municipality) where he lived has been changed to Lieutenant Street now.
In a similar way, on the occasion of 100th birthday of late playback singer TM. Soundarrajan on 24th March today the West Circular Road in Mandavelipakkam, ward number 126, zone 9, Chennai Corporation has been renamed as TM. Soundararajan Road. An order has also been issued. Sensational TMS sir!!
