Flights suspended from Chennai due to runway maintenance works!!

The news that has come out now is that till Friday, the flight services from Chennai to Port Blair would be suspended. The reason for the suspension of flight services is due to the runway maintenance works.
This sudden suspension of flights have come as a surprise for many passengers now as there was no prior information about this. Now, many passengers have been affected.
Every day from Chennai airport 7 flights would depart to Port Blair and 7 flights would arrive from Poet Blair. Now, the runway has been shut down for the sake of the maintenance works.
From 7th February till 10th February, the runway was closed and flights were suspended is known.
Point is that the passengers want the suspension of the flights to be informed earlier so that they could avoid booking flight tickets and waste their money.
