What is USA based Virginia Tech going to do in IIT-Madras now?

To carry out the research works in many platforms, the USA based Virginia Polytechnic and state university has set up a research & learning centre in the popular IITM.
For research and education, Virginia tech has multiple locations in india. This was pointed out in a statement. It added that the opening of Virginia Tech India Centre at IIT-Madras showcases its commitment to associate with other leading research institutes across the world.
Information gathered is that ever since its inception in the year 1872, Virginia Tech has been preparing scholars to be international leaders and problem solvers. It must be noted that the university offers above 280 majors and there are more than36000 UG, PG and others etc studying various courses in 8 UG colleges, a school of medicine,a veterinary medicine college, graduate school and honors college etc.
