A new satellite town would be created along ECR in Chennai!! Sound`s incredible right!!
Truth is that the Tamil Nadu govt has proposed to create a new satellite town along East Coast Road near Mamallapuram just similar to Madampakkam.
The Tamil Nadu government recognises the value of planned growth in the surrounding areas in Chennai to ensure the sustainability of Chennai city`s fast growth. This was as per the copy of TN Governor Mr. N. Ravi`s address at the state assembly. The Governor`s address mentioned that the CMDA or Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority is setting about to create a new growth cluster through land pooling in Madampakkam in 600 acres of land.
The land owner`s approval would be taken and the lands would be pooled and then the lands would be classified depending on the usage for promoting planned development. It is noteworthy that the benefits of the land development would be shared with the land owners. To participate in this project, majority of the land owners have agreed now and in a short time works would get completed.
By following the same model, in the next phase, a satellite town would be created along ECR near Mamallapuram. The future growth of CMA or Chennai Metropolitan Area would be based on the upgradation of ECR as a four lane road along with the development of satellite towns.
It is learnt that the Tamil Nadu govt also has sought expeditions approval for the Bill adopted by the state assembly for excluding TN from NEET exam.
