Beautification of Chennai city - Whats happening now?

The Chennai Corporation has launched a website link for registering the details of the private and charitable trusts that would be providing funds for the beautification of Chennai.
Various beautification works include beautifying those inside the Chennai Corporation like parks, roadsides, planting saplings on the road meridians etc. It also includes painting colourful murals regarding the culture of TN on the walls of government, corporation and slum clearance boards, maintaining public toilets etc. For these activities, both private as well as the charitable trusts have been providing their support is known.
It was announced by the Corporation that those private organisations and charitable trusts that are willing to provide funds and join hands with the Chennai Corporation in beautifying works can register their details in the website link. It is known that the Chennai Corporation was founded in the year 1688 and is among the oldest municipalities in the entire Asia next only to Daman municipality.
