The Tamil Nadu government announces Bus passes for 350 Tamil scholars

The Tamil Nadu government on Thursday announced free bus passes to 350 Tamil scholars who were above the age of 60 years, and whose services to literature have been recognised by the state. An official release said free bus passes will also be extended to legal heirs of the scholars.
The scholars with relevant documents have to approach the Tamil development department and the managing director of state transport corporations to avail the passes. The passes will have to be renewed every year
