New Low Pressure Forms Near Tamil Nadu Coast - Heavy Rains Expected for Next 2–3 Days
Delta, Cuddalore and Ramanthapuram gets heavy rains from the new low pressure area which has formed very close to the TN coast. This low pressure will move parallel to TN coast and will give widespread rains in the next two days. As it is connected with a trough with low in Arabian sea, there will rains in interior districts too. Dream days for Tamil Nadu will continue. This October is going to end in huge excess for Tamil Nadu.
KTCC (Chennai)
As the low near Delta region climbs up, the convergence that is over delta now will shift to cuddalore, then to Chennai region thereby giving us good rains. Next two days including today there will lot of spells in the day time too. Today we will see increase in rain spells in Chennai. Once it moves above our latitude our rains will reduce. This low pressure wont change into chakkaram.
Next Low
The next low pressure will form around 25/26 October. This low in month end is the one Chakkaram is possible.
Rains today
It is difficult to single out one district as almost all districts will get some rains in the synoptic pattern.
Heavy rains
Delta districts (Nagai, Tiruvarur, Trichy, Thanjavur, Perambalur, Karaikkal, Pudukottai), Ramanathapuram, Cuddalore, Pondy, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Villupuram, KTCC (Chennai) also has chance of heavy rains.
