Chennais Marina Swimming Pool Reopens on October 7, 2025

The pool was closed in July 2025 to facilitate a major improvement project worth ₹2.5 crore, carried out by the Greater Chennai Corporation. The upgrade includes:
- A state-of-the-art water purification system
- A dedicated ramp for differently-abled persons
- Modern restroom and toilet facilities
- Enhanced overall infrastructure and safety measures
According to the official announcement by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC), all restoration and modernization works have been completed, and the swimming pool is now ready to welcome the public.
This revamp ensures not just better hygiene and safety but also makes the facility more inclusive and accessible for all.
