STAR 3.0 Introduced to Enable Paperless Property Registration
Chief Minister M.K. Stalin has officially launched the Registration Department’s ambitious STAR 3.0 project, marking a major step toward digital governance and citizen-friendly services.
The project introduces a comprehensive work plan covering 18 services aimed at simplifying and modernizing property-related transactions. Key features include paperless document registration, the ability to register documents without visiting offices in person, automated deed creation, and simplified online searching of encumbrance certificates.
The initiative is expected to reduce delays, improve transparency, and make registration services more accessible to the public. STAR 3.0 reflects the state government’s commitment to leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and ease of doing business for citizens and stakeholders alike.
