Partial Cancellation of EMU Services in Chennai Egmore - Villupuram Section Announced
Southern Railway has issued a notice regarding the partial cancellation of EMU (Electric Multiple Unit) services in the Chennai Egmore - Villupuram section. Commencing from a scheduled time of 21:55 hrs on May 14th until 01:55 hrs on May 15th, 2024, certain train services will be affected due to ongoing engineering works. Specifically, three EMU trains are impacted by this announcement. The partial cancellations include Train No. 40565, originating from Chennai Beach and bound for Chengalpattu, which will be affected between Singaperumal Koil and Chengalpattu on May 14th. Similarly, Train No. 40569, also departing from Chennai Beach to Chengalpattu, will experience partial cancellation along the same route and date. Furthermore, Train No. 40572, starting its journey from Chengalpattu to Chennai Beach, will be partially cancelled between Chengalpattu and Singaperumal Koil on May 14th. Southern Railway urges commuters to adjust their travel plans accordingly, taking into account these disruptions in service.
