Tiruvarur: MK Stalin Begins Election Campaign for 2026 Tamil Nadu Polls
M. K. Stalin has officially launched his election campaign from Tiruvarur, marking the start of an intense political battle ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
The campaign is set to begin with a series of public meetings and outreach programmes across key regions, as the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam gears up to retain power in the state.
Party sources indicated that Stalin will tour multiple districts including Jayankondam, Karur, Tiruppur, Nagercoil, and Tirunelveli, engaging with voters and promoting the government’s achievements and welfare schemes.
He is also expected to file his nomination from Kolathur, his current constituency, in the coming days.
The upcoming election, which will cover all 234 Assembly constituencies, is expected to witness a high-voltage campaign, with major political parties intensifying their preparations.
Meanwhile, the DMK-led alliance is finalising seat-sharing arrangements and candidate lists, with announcements likely soon.
