Tamil Nadu Govt Urges Students to Use Free Mental Health Helpline 14416 and 104 Under 'Natpudan Ungalodu' Scheme

The Tamil Nadu Government has urged students and parents to make use of the `Natpudan Ungalodu` mental health support programme to receive free counselling services. To help students maintain emotional well-being and mental resilience, the government has announced the toll-free helpline numbers 14416 and 104.

In a statement issued by Tamil Nadu Health and Family Welfare Department Secretary Thares Ahmed, it was noted that the NEET UG 2026 results were recently announced. Considering the emotional stress that students may experience following the results, the state government continues to provide mental health counselling through the `Natpudan Ungalodu` initiative.

Students and parents are encouraged to contact the toll-free helplines 14416 or 104 without hesitation to seek professional guidance and emotional support whenever needed.

The counselling services are provided by qualified mental health professionals and counsellors, ensuring timely psychological support and assistance for students and their families.
