Tamil Nadu Launches Public Grievance Portal for Audit Department Services

The Tamil Nadu Government has launched a new Public Grievance Portal as part of the CAMS (Computerised Audit Management System) website to enable citizens and audit institutions to register grievances, seek clarifications, and access important information more efficiently.

The initiative has been introduced to ensure quicker grievance redressal, improve transparency, and enhance the overall experience for the public, audit institutions, and auditors.

The portal comes under the control of the Director General of Audit and covers the following five audit departments:

- Local Fund Audit Department

- State Government Audit Department

- Cooperative Audit Department

- Audit Department of Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments (HR&CE)

- Dairy Cooperative Audit Department

The government has been implementing several reforms to strengthen transparency in the audit system and improve services for audit institutions and auditors. As part of these reforms, the new Public Grievance Portal has been developed to provide a simple and accessible platform for grievance registration and information sharing.

Through this portal, members of the public and organisations undergoing audits can submit grievances, raise queries, and receive timely responses from the concerned departments.
