Government Financial Assistance for Painting and Sculpture Artists: Apply by October 1

The Tamil Nadu Department of Art and Culture has invited applications from eligible painting and sculpture artists seeking government financial assistance to showcase their artistic talents through art exhibitions. Applications must be submitted by October 1.

Through the Tamil Nadu Fine Arts Council, financial assistance is provided for both individual and group art exhibitions.

Under the scheme, 10 individual artists will receive ₹25,000 each to organise individual exhibitions. In addition, five groups of artists will receive ₹50,000 each to conduct joint art exhibitions.

Eligibility for Artists

Applicants should have participated in state-level or national-level art exhibitions and have an active interest in fine arts.

However, the following are not eligible to apply:

- Artists who have received the Kalaichelmal Award from the Department of Art and Culture – Fine Arts Council

- Those wishing to organise an exhibition in the name of an art organisation

- Students currently pursuing fine arts

- Artists who have already benefited from this scheme

Documents Required

Applicants must submit a curriculum vitae with a photograph, mobile phone number, and five photographs of their best artworks in A4 size. Details and press materials highlighting their artistic achievements should also be enclosed.

Applications submitted without the required documents will be rejected.
