NEET UG 2026 Results Announced: 12 Tamil Nadu Students Score Above 690

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the NEET UG 2026 results, enabling the admission process for MBBS, BDS, AYUSH and other undergraduate medical courses across India to begin.

This year, 11.21 lakh candidates qualified out of nearly 20 lakh students who appeared for the examination. The test was conducted at 5,440 centres across 551 cities in India and 14 international cities.

12 Tamil Nadu Students Score Above 690

Tamil Nadu delivered an impressive performance, with 12 students scoring above 690 marks. Venktapathi Velayutham V A emerged as the highest-ranked candidate from the state, securing All India Rank (AIR) 12 with a 99.99915 percentile.

Counselling Process

Candidates can download their scorecards from the official NEET website. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct counselling for the 15% All India Quota, while the respective State authorities will handle admissions under the State quota.

The NTA has advised students to use only official counselling portals and remain cautious of fraudulent websites, calls or messages promising admissions or score improvements.
