The proposed Chennai–Villupuram Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS) aims to cut travel time from nearly 4 hours to just 1 hour. The high-speed corridor will connect key hubs like Alandur, Tambaram, Chengalpattu, Maduranthakam, Tindivanam, and Villupuram, boosting connectivity and reducing GST Road congestion.
With an estimated cost of ₹75,000 crore, this project could transform regional travel in Tamil Nadu.
