Chennai Gold Rate Today, July 28, 2026: Gold Drops ₹155 Per Gram, Silver Falls ₹5

Gold prices in Chennai declined on July 28, 2026, according to the latest morning rates from the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA).

The price of 22-carat gold fell by ₹155 to ₹13,215 per gram, compared with ₹13,370 per gram on July 27.

Similarly, 18-carat gold declined by ₹155 to ₹11,030 per gram, down from ₹11,185 per gram the previous day.

Silver prices also moved lower, falling by ₹5 to ₹235 per gram, compared with ₹240 per gram on July 27.

22K Gold – 1 Gram: ₹13,215 (↓ ₹155)
18K Gold – 1 Gram: ₹11,030 (↓ ₹155)
Silver – 1 Gram: ₹235 (↓ ₹5)

The decline comes after gold prices rose by ₹70 per gram on July 27. Gold and silver prices regularly fluctuate based on domestic and international bullion market trends, movements in the US dollar, inflation expectations, interest rate decisions, geopolitical developments, and investor demand.
