Chennai Gold Prices Drop Sharply; 22K Gold Falls ₹270 Per Gram on July 24

Gold prices in Chennai recorded a sharp decline on Friday, July 24, 2026, according to the latest bullion rates released by the Madras Jewellers & Diamond Traders Association (MJDTA). Both 22-carat and 18-carat gold prices fell by ₹270 per gram, while silver prices declined by ₹5 per gram.

As per the latest bullion market update, the price of 22-carat gold has been revised to ₹13,230 per gram, down from ₹13,500 on the previous trading day. Similarly, the price of 18-carat gold has dropped to ₹11,045 per gram, compared to ₹11,315 on Thursday.

Silver prices also witnessed a decline, falling from ₹245 per gram to ₹240 per gram, registering a decrease of ₹5.
