Southern Railway Announces Temporary Train Diversions and Schedule Changes Due to Maintenance Works

Southern Railway has announced temporary route diversions and schedule revisions for several express and passenger trains due to ongoing maintenance works across various sections of the Tiruchirappalli Railway Division. Passengers are advised to check the revised schedules and routes before planning their journey.

The Nagercoil – Mumbai CSMT Express (16352) will operate via Madurai, Manamadurai, and Karaikudi on July 23, 26, and 30.

The Kanniyakumari – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (12666) will follow the same diverted route on July 25, while the Kanniyakumari – Hazrat Nizamuddin Express (17070) will be diverted via Madurai, Manamadurai, and Karaikudi on July 24 and 31.

Similarly, the Sengottai – Mayiladuthurai Express (16848) will operate through Madurai, Manamadurai, and Karaikudi on July 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 30, and 31.

The Guruvayur – Chennai Egmore Express (16128) will bypass Madurai Junction and instead run via Virudhunagar, Manamadurai, and Karaikudi on July 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, and 31.

In addition, the Madurai – Bikaner Anuvrat AC Superfast Express (22631) will operate via Manamadurai and Karaikudi on July 23.

The Cuddalore Port – Mysuru Express (16231) will also be diverted on July 31 through an alternate route due to the maintenance works.

Southern Railway has further announced a temporary schedule revision for the Karaikudi – Tiruchirappalli Passenger Train (56832). From July 23 to July 31, the train will depart Karaikudi at 10:15 AM and operate according to the revised timetable.

Passengers are requested to verify the latest train schedules and route information before commencing their journey to avoid inconvenience during the maintenance period.
