Online portal created with 30 private hospitals for the people could know details about bed availability etc

The growing number of Coronavirus positive cases has led to the government facilities struggling to provide accommodation to the patients. It must be noted that the number of Corona patients are increasing in the private hospitals also. For the 6th straight day, Tamil Nadu reported 1000 plus positive cases on Friday are known.
This more number of cases has led to the health department to create an online portal with 30 designated private hospitals. Information about the availability of the beds in the hospitals would be known to the people. This was as per the state health minister Mr. C. Vijayabaskar.
Inadequate bed facilities, ICUs and ventilators at the private hospitals have been a problem now as many have tested positive for Coronavirus. Many complaints were received from the patients. In many private hospitals in TN, a total of 900 beds have been occupied at present by Covid-19 patients.
The health minister threw light on the current cost of testing for Coronavirus at private hospitals and said it was fixed at Rs 3000 for the patients. It is important to note that on Friday as many as 861 persons got discharged from the hospitals and this was the highest single day recovery in the last 10 days.
