For overseeing Corona relief works in 15 zones in Chennai, TN does this

On Friday, Chennai had as many as 1116 fresh Coronavirus positive cases and as a result of this the number of fresh cases in TN on Friday went to 1438. The shocking information is that the total number of positive cases in Chennai has been responsible for 69 % of TN total cases.
For supervising Corona relief works in 15 zones in Chennai, the state government had deputed 5 senior ministers.
In the GO, the chief secretary Mr. K. Shanmugam had mentioned that to oversee the coordination and relief works being undertaken by GCC and the Field Support Team in the respective zones of GCC, TN nominates 5 ministers for respective zones of GCC. For the sake of monitoring the Corona relief works, each minister has been assigned 3 zones of GCC each.
Important information collected is Mr. D. Jayakumar, minister for fisheries would be in-charge of zones 3, 4 and 5. Mr. K.P. Anbalagan who is the minister for higher education has been appointed to oversee zones 13, 14 and 15. The zones 8, 9 and 10 would be under Mr. Kamaraj who is the minister for food.
Corona relief works in the zones 1, 2 and 6 would be overseen by Mr. R.B. Udhayakumar who is the minister for revenue and IT and transport minister Mr. M.R. Vijayabaskar would be responsible for zones 7, 11 and 12. Inspite of the TN government taking many measures to contain the spread of Coronavirus infection, the number of cases has been on the rise in Chennai and in TN. Truth is in the last few days TN has been registering more than 1000 fresh cases.
Even after appointing Mr. J Radhakrishnan as special officer for Corona virus control for GCC and appointing field support teams, there has been no control of the infection till now.
