With Corona virus infection claiming many lives now, it is important that we must follow the norms imposed by the government to avoid getting this infection. For not following the norms imposed, as many as 42 shops belonging to Alandur have been sealed by the Greater Chennai Corporation/GCC.

Important information gathered is these 42 shops have allowed the customers to come to their shops without the norms like wearing face masks etc.

It was mentioned by a statement that these shops at Alandur were found violating the norms and hence the shops were sealed on Monday and Tuesday. Ever since the lock down restrictions was imposed, GCC has sealed more than 1000 shops for violating the norms.

Some shops were allowed to reopen after certain period of time. It is known that those shops that were sealed by GCC cannot be reopened for 3 months or until GCC gives permission to reopen again.

The restrictions imposed by the government of TN have been explained to the traders association in the Alandur zone by the Chennai Corporation. As per an official belonging to the corporation it was clear that the traders were asked to wear face masks plus they must encourage the customers also to wear face masks. It is important to follow social distancing also at the shops.

Recently, the Corporation officials gave orders to close the shops belonging to Ranganathan Street in T. Nagar and it grabbed the attention of many. Point is these shops were shut down as they violated the norms.
