World-wide recognition for Indian Degrees
As per the Washington Pact made in 1989, Indian Engineering degrees got world-wide recognition.16 countries in the pact accorded recognition of the engineering degrees .India became a member of the Washington Pact.
In the meeting scheduled for June, 2014, it is expected that India will become a full-fledged member. Indian graduation degrees will get recognition world-wide.
The associations of Indian Engineers and students abroad will benefit from this. Washington pact has appointed 2 members in India to over see the international activities.
A special council will be formed to improve the country’s education standards to be on par with international standards.
The autonomous council will select the institutions to qualify for international recognition.
UGC will strive for the early formation of this council.
