MRTS Projects connecting Velachery and St Thomas Mount to be handed over to CMRL

There was a big hue and cry by the people because of the inordinate delay by Southern Railway to complete the pending Mass Rapid Transit Projects connecting Velachery and St Thomas Mount. Now there is good news for the people who are waiting for this project to be completed since Southern Railway is planning to hand over the pending project to the CMRL for early completion.
The railway authorities are eagerly awaiting Madras high court to pass orders related to pending litigations. The railway have already the railways has vested the project of completing the three-tier St Thomas mount railway station to CMRL and a fund of Rs 50 crore has been allocated for the purpose.
