Dengue fever is a big menace in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Government is taking elaborate steps to put an end to this menace. Preventive measures such as defogging are being taken up in many places while the number of labs doing the relevant tests had also been increased, Health Minister KC Veeramani told the state assembly on Tuesday. Health department officials were engaged in a number of activities in this regard even as an awareness campaign is being carried out.A high level team of officials is monitoring the situation, hence there is no need to be panicky.
