As there is only two weeks for Diwali festival, there are over five thousand applications for opening crackers shops across the city in Sivakasi. Here, there are more than 800 companies that are engaged in manufacturing crackers. Almost 90% of crackers distribution got over in the northern parts of the country.
At this condition, crackers sales will begin in a full-fledged way by this week end. It is to be noted that there are more than 400 authorized cracker shops in Sivakasi.
