Unlocking Kilambakkam: Secure Your City Bus Journey with a Rs.40 Booking Fee!

Transport Minister S.C. Sivasankar unveiled two initiatives during a ceremony at the Chief Secretariat in Chennai yesterday. The first initiative enables passengers to travel to Kilambakkam via city bus upon payment of an additional Rs. 40 at the time of booking express buses. Additionally, commuters can now access various parts of Chennai from Kilambakkam by paying an extra Rs. 40 when booking express buses.
Under the second initiative, passengers booking tickets with the Government Rapid Transport Corporation can swiftly reach their destinations in Chennai from Kilambakkam or vice versa. This service promises efficient travel, with city buses arranged to complete the journey within four hours. The scheme came into effect on March 1.
Furthermore, the minister introduced a mobile application for Metropolitan Transport Corporation employees. This app will provide employees with access to administrative circulars, messages, and the ability to apply for leave.
