LP Logiscience, a division of the esteemed Liladhar Pasoo group, has steadily evolved since its establishment a decade ago, growing at an impressive rate of 20% - 25% year over year. Its Chennai location has been one of the key warehouses that has steadily expanded capacity, in the past two years. LP Logisciencecurrently operates a multi-user warehouse near Chennai city and the port to cater to the demand from the local market. With a storage capacity of 3000 pallet positions, the warehouse caters to clients across FMCG, Medical equipment, and Chemical sectors, acting as a vital distribution centerin Chennai. The warehouse is equipped with modern fire safety features such as hydrants and sprinklers. It has both ground and rack storage facilities. Further, the growth of warehousing in Chennai market is also a driver for growth of LP Logiscience.
Primarily fueled by the strengthening economic profile of the city, and the rise in e-commerce and retail players, Chennai has emerged as a warehousing hub.Recent reports on the Indian Warehousing Market indicate that the transaction activity in the Chennai market has remained resilient, with the 3PL sector having the largest share in the occupier transaction pie. During FY 2023, the Sriperumbudur-Oragadam cluster accounted for half of all warehousing transactions in Chennai. This cluster is the primary hub for the prododuction of automotive and ancillary products. Of all the transactions in this cluster, 47% were related to the 3PL space. Another cluster that gained attention during the same period was NH 16/GNT Road-Periyapalayam, particularly along the NH 16/GNT Road-Redhills belt. This area was preferred by e-commerce businesses, FMCG companies, and significant 3PL players. During FY 2023, this cluster accounted for 37% of all the warehousing transactions in Chennai.
