Police personnel at Chennai airport to become passenger friendly!!

In the future, don`t be surprised if you are greeted by police personnel at the Chennai airport in a friendly manner!!
The news is that Greater Chennai Police or GCP would deploy police personnel at the airport for warm reception and providing guidance to the passengers (both domestic and international). There would be help desks at the airport and it would be operated by the Chennai police.
It is well known that Chennai airport is one of the busiest airports in India and it handles a sizable number of passengers every day. The armed personnel belonging to CISF normally would carry out security frisking and baggage checking etc. It is noteworthy that the outer periphery is under the purview of city police.
In the outer area, more police personnel would be deployed and this was as per Mr. Sandeep Rai Rathore, commissioner of police. These police personnel would be friendly with the passengers. The police personnel would ensure facilitation, guidance, safety and security to the passengers coming out of the airport. Proper training would be provided to these police personnel so that they get the attitude and capability to handle tourists.
